Apple Day
The HRA committee wants to thank everyone for making the Apple Day a really great community event. Congratulations to the multiple winners of the Apple Pie baking event. Pauline won the prestigious wooden spoon & Julia won the technical merit award. A special mention must go to Dragan for his musical entry! This year we mostly put all the apples into a single community bucket and it was great to see how everybody put a lot of effort into producing juice for their neighbours! An enjoyable day, although there must have been some sore arms on the Sunday. Here’s to the same again next year.
HRA Bonfire night
The HRA’s annual firework display is on Sunday 6th November.
The fireworks start at 6.30pm on the Millennium Green followed by the Bonfire.
Admission is £5 for adults and free for children (a proportion of the gate takings will be sent to the poppy appeal)
Hot Dogs and soup for sale.
Bonfire building will commence on Saturday 5th Nov at 10am. Please come along with some helping hands and your garden rubbish or other wooden items you would like to dispose of.
Build your own guy and bring along for burning.
French Café Evening
After the success of last year’s International Evening, this year the HRA are pleased to announce a small taste of France in Horningsea.
Come join in.
There’ll be a buffet of bread and cheese with an aperitif, a glass of wine and a digestif. You are welcome to bring your own (french preferred) wine or other beverage if you prefer more than a glass.
Bert will be entertaining us with French music on his accordion.
Tickets are £5 on the door.
