Horningsea is not a large village but has some useful services and facilities.
The village has a farm shop to the north end of the village, a pub at the south end, a restaurant offering accommodation, two garden centres, and a number of people who run small businesses from home.
There is a regular bus service and Waterbeach railway station 2 miles to the north. The nearest post office is at Waterbeach.
