Horningsea Herald February 2025
Hello Horningsea, here’s February’s Herald..
The Horningsea Residents Association (HRA) published their events calendar for 2025 (and beyond!). It’s in the Herald but also on the village website.
..and the HRA’s first event of the year is this coming Saturday – International evening!
There’s an update from the Save Honey Hill group about the postponement (again!) of the decision.
Also attached is February’s events at the Plough and Fleece.

HRA International Evening
Saturday 8th February
If you’ve never been to an HRA run event in the village before then this one is a must!
Every year the Horningsea Residents Association host International Night and this year it’s being held on Saturday 8th February from18.30 in the village hall.
It’s a great fun sociable way to spend an evening with your friends and neighbours or to meet others if you are new to the village.
Bring a dish of food to share, savoury or sweet from anywhere in the world or a favourite that you like to make at home. The quality and variety of dishes we have every year is amazing but if you don’t feel like cooking you can still join us and eat as much as you like for only £7 adults and £2 for children.
- Free entry if you bring a dish to share.
- Please bring your own alcoholic or non alcoholic drinks and glasses. Plates and cutlery will be
- provided.
- We look forward to welcoming you and its a win, win because the members of the HRA committee wash up too but feel free to grab a T-towel and help if you fancy!
- If you bring food in a slow cooker that’s fine as we’ll have sockets available, Vegetarian food will be served on a separate table. If you can label your dish and make a note of any possible food allergens that your dish may have please.

Horningsea Herald January 2025
Happy New Year Horningsea
Here’s the first Herald of the year.
Don’t forget the AGM of the Horningsea Residents Association on the 27th in the Village Hall. The HRA is the social heart of the villages. Go along and find out what they have done and perhaps volunteer. Without volunteers we would have no Village Day. Bonfire night or Apple Pressing day.
..and thanks again to Liz Harrison for the wonderful Christmas Horningsea Tradition of our Advent Windows.

Don’t forget to support our two wonderful village pubs. It’s the Plough and Fleece’s Supper Club on the 8th and Burns Night on the 18th.

We’re the social heart of our village, and we need YOU! Find out more about how we bring the community together with fun events like Village Day, International Night and the Fabulous Easter Egg Bingo (see photos below!).
