‘Beat the Christmas Blues’ at the Plough and Fleece

Here’s something different – come and join in an introduction to the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and learn how to ‘Beat the Christmas Blues’ at the Plough and Fleece on Sunday 17th December from 7pm-9pm.

You can download the flyer here EFT Workshop Horningsea-Dec2012

Do you sometimes have a feeling that there is more to you than others can see? What holds us back from exploring, freely, our full potential and giving expression to that powerful, beautiful being within us? Ludmila Gin will introduce you to an amazing technique called Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT or “tapping”) that can help you release stress, feel better, connect with people deeper and move forward on your journey in life.

The workshop is practical and interactive. We will learn the technique first hand, practise it and see the results! The workshop includes a special session on food cravings. Tempting substances (such as chocolates and biscuits) will be provided!

The session costs £15 per person (£10 concessions for people who are not earning)

This is the first of what we hope wil be a series of interesting and unusual sessions at the pub led by local experts – do let us know if you have any ideas yourselves and we will add them to the list!

Hope to see you there

all the best

Tony

HRA Xmas tree lighting

HRA logo

We might have rain rather than snow, but nonetheless come banish those winter blues with your neighbours and the HRA. We’ll be lighting the Xmas Tree on Sunday the 2nd of December at 6:30 pm. This year the event has outgrown the bus shelter and now we’ll be doing decorating and lighting in the Jubilee Gardens. As well as being a much safer venue for children there’s also toilets. You’ll be able to keep warm with some mulled wine and of course some mince pies. You will also be entertained with Christmas Carols.

… and do remember to bring some spare change as we’ll be having a collection for the Childrens Hospice in Milton

Help beautify Horningsea!

We have two initiatives planned for 10:00, Sunday 18 November. Both begin at the bus shelter beside the Village Green. Please come and join in. Wear stout shoes or boots.

  • Litter pick: Gloves, day-glow waistcoats and litter-picking pincers will be provided.
  • Sapling planting: Please bring your own spade. By kind gift of Fen Ditton Parish Council, we expect to have about 30 saplings of native tree and shrub species to be planted at a few points around the village, to help ensure it remains a beautiful place to live for decades into the future. Stakes, sleeves and ties will be provided.
