Horningsea Herald June 2019
Here’s the Horningsea Herald for June 2019
Don’t forget that it’s the results of the Horningsea Short Story competition tomorrow at The Horningsea Tales and the Horningsea School Reunion on Sunday
..and it’s #horningsea Village Day at the end of the month. The committee are still actively gathering feedback for the event. They want this day to be inclusive for every single villager. The committee have posted flyers through every village door and that flyer is also attached to this email. Please do give them feedback. It’s your Village Day and without your feedback and involvement the day will be poorer for it. Let them know how you see Village day, preferably before the event too!

Horningsea Village Day: 2019 – “Horningstock”
29th June Horningsea Village Day – Saturday the 29th June 14:00 Kick off
This year, in celebration of 50 years since Woodstock we invite one and all to ‘Horningstock’

The HRA want to include the whole village in making our Village Day one to remember, accessible to all, and enjoyed by everyone. As villagers, friends and neighbours, you are what makes the day what it is, without your input and support the day just couldn’t happen
Tug of war, Lawnmower racing, 3-legged race, Welly wanging, Egg and spoon race
Other attractions throughout the day to include:
Two large bouncy castles, one for younger children and one for the more adventurous older kids! – Free beer courtesy of our fantastic local pubs, the Plough and Fleece and the Crown and Punchbowl – Free stone baked pizza made to order from 16:00 – Football tyres – Stocks – Car and bike show – Badminton – Table Tennis – BBQ from 16:00 (Sausages and buns provided, bring whatever else you want) – Music and a Beacon Fire at sunset.
We are really keen to hear from you… do you have other ideas for the day? Can you help?
Could you run a stall of your own we haven’t planned for and add to the day?
Do you know of another attraction that would add to the day we haven’t thought of?
It would really help us if any suggestions and offers of help were written on the back of these flyers and returned to the feedback box in the village phone box by the 10th of June. Your name and contact details would be great too so we can get in touch
Feel free to email hra-suggestion@googlegroups.com if you prefer.
