Coronation Weekend
As we approach the Coronation weekend, the Horningsea Residents Association and the church are hard at work planning a wonderful Horningsea weekend for you all. The full schedule is on the village website, and there’s more in the Herald, but here’s a short overview of the weekend:

Saturday 6th May

  • Live streaming of the Coronation on a large screen in the church
  • Exhibition of books and photographs of Royal occasions in the village since 1953.
  • Sunday 7th May

  • 10;30 – Coronation Service in St Peter’s church.
  • 15:00 – Picnic on the village green.
  • 17:00 – Ceilidh on the village green by Stomp Happy with two to three sets throughout the evening
  • Monday 8th May

  • At 11:00 the bell ringers will “Ring for the King” – come and watch or sit in your garden and listen!
  • At 14:00 the Friends of Horningsea church invite you to volunteer to work on a wildlife project in the churchyard.
  • Cleanup.

Save Honey Hill DCO application now resubmitted

After withdrawing its application in February, Anglian Water has now resubmitted it. The Planning Inspectorate will accept or reject the application by the 26th May, and if accepted, anyone can then register as an Interested Party in order to submit their objections.
However, until then we strongly recommend that everybody sign up to receive updates from the Planning Inspectorate.

  • Sign up for updates (now).
  • Register as an Interested Party (once the application is accepted).
  • Send in a Relevant Representation (once you are accepted).
  • If accepted SHH will put clear instructions on how to proceed on our website.
