Horningsea Floods February 2014

The persistent and heavy rain of the first two months of 2014 caused much flooding around the South of England. We’re lucky here in Horningsea in that even though we are so close to the river Cam that the village is not at risk. Nonetheless there are a few low parts of the village that do flood from the river. Thankfully no houses have ever been built there.

Here’s some recent photos from February of the peak water in the village. Many thanks to Nicola Gibbs, Clare Harding, Graham Haynes, Andrew Martin and Jackie Watson for sending these in.
